Today we docked in Genoa, Italy where we enjoyed a walk around the city as well as some local Genoese food.

Today we visited Marseille in France where we endured a catastrophic shuttle bus, visited a church, and ate wonderful French pastries.
Barcelona, Spain

Today we docked in Barcelona for our first port of call. Due to bad weather at sea our arrival was an hour later than planned. This meant we could enjoy another leisurely breakfast in La Palmeraie restaurant, and a dip in the hot tub before exploring the city.
MSC Preziosa: Welcome Aboard!

Alex and I are sailing again after what feels like a long hiatus. We’re back on MSC in the wonderful Yacht Club, this time sailing with our good friends Glyn and Dorota who are cruising for the first time.
As we’re sailing with friends, this blog series will be abridged compared to my normal blogging, but will hopefully provide some interest!
We are sailing from Lisbon and calling at Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Malaga, and Casablanca.
Le Havre & Arrivederci

Our final day on board was docked in Le Havre. We looked at ways of finishing off our onboard credit, got packed, and said arrivederci to our home for the last week.

Today was another sea day, though much colder on deck than the last one. We tried lunch in L’Olivo, paid a visit to the Aurea Spa, checked out a couple of cooking demonstrations, and did a whole bunch more reading!
