Sailing on MSC Bellissima, March 2019
🏡 Pre-Cruise – 28 February 2019
Alex and I are currently packing to begin our exciting trip on the maiden voyage of MSCs newest ship, MSC Bellissima. Learn about how this trip came about and where we’ll be headed in this first post on my new-look blog.
🇬🇧 Southampton, UK – 03 March 2019
We’ve arrived in Southampton after a wonderful weekend in London and some fun travels by train. Excitement is mounting after our first glimpse of MSC Bellissima currently docked in Southampton’s City Cruise Terminal.
🇬🇧 Southampton, UK – 04 March 2019
Today we boarded MSC Bellissima, started our exploration, and found some fun quirks with Zoe, MSC’s virtual assistant. We also had our first meal in our included dining room, Le Cerisier.
🌊 At Sea – 05 March 2019
We’ve hit some rough seas which resulted in a slow start and a lazy day. I’ve taken the time to write an illustrated review of our inside stateroom with all of its modern touches. We also tried our first theatre show tonight, and had a very low-key evening as the rough seas get to Alex. A change of itinerary is also announced.
🌊 At Sea – 06 March 2019
Today was another wet and windy day at sea. We enjoyed a relaxed breakfast at the French bistro, ventured outside for some very revitalising sea air, and tried our first speciality dinner at HOLA! Tapas Bar.
🇵🇹 Lisbon, Portugal – 09 March 2019
We’ve just spent a wonderful couple of days with our very loving friends in Lisbon who we stayed with for the two nights we were docked here. Today, we’re back on the ship for Cirque du Solait and sushi dinner at Kaito Sushi Bar.
🌊 At Sea – 10 March 2019
Today was a very relaxed day, making for a very short blog post! We enjoyed some board games with a sea view, plenty of cocktails, and a wonderful steak dinner. Tonight is an early bed in preparation for our port day tomorrow.
🇪🇸 Valencia, Spain – 11 March 2019
Today we docked in sunny Valencia and enjoyed a long walk into town, some sightseeing, and a lovely food market. Back on the ship, we enjoyed our final night on board.
